Senior Software Engineer

Description of the job:
  We are in search of a specialist to join our Application support team and provide technical assistance for a portfolio of IT services in the bank.
  
  Requirements:
  • 5+ Years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to estimate and follow costs
  Responsibilities:
  • Key contact for head office demands
  • In partnership with other Tech leads and under Technical Director accountability, sets direction for all aspects of our technology practice
  • Provides technical leadership for local staff and assumes overall accountability for a successful implementation phase on all client projects
  • Developing cost estimates, and delivering pitches for new work
  • Ensures solutions are properly designed and specified, and partners with the project manager or Business Analyst to ensure quality
  • Own one or more modules of the project under development
  • Mentor and train junior team members with the assistance of other Tech Lead
  • Maintain the local team up-to-date with best-practices / technology / design pattern used within the worldwide team
  • Accurate time accounting and reporting of own work
  • Promptly escalate issues
  • Quality, on time delivery of agreed deliverables
  • Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines
  • Regular trips and meetings with Paris teams
  
  Technical skills:
  • Very good and broad knowledge on c# technology
  • Database knowledge (Sybase or oracle), data model design and performance analysis
  • Proficient in at least two core development tools used within the company (Gerrit, Jenkins, Git, Sonar, NUnit, Spec Flow)
  • Good knowledge of design patterns
  • Optional knowledge .Net Windows forms
  • Sound Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks
  • Agile methodology (Scrum), BDD testing knowledge would be appreciated (Cucumber)
